Location: Based anywhere in the UK (Remote working)


With a multimillion pound turnover and advanced manufacturing capabilities, my client have become a leading supplier of bespoke connector solutions for major OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) across the globe.

In line with their growth plans, they now wish to recruit a technically minded and proactive individual to join their team.


Operating from a home office you will support the external sales team and be responsible for:

  • Utilising the CRM to manage customer data and call backs.
  • Following up and qualifying leads generated by the Marketing team (200+ leads per month).
  • Conducting initial project investigation and fact-finding calls with potential clients.
  • Interrogating leads via email / phone, understanding client’s current application needs and future developments.
  • Contacting lapsed and low spending accounts to establish the opportunity to develop the account further.
  • Working in collaboration with the external sales team to discuss an action plan and brief them on any qualified leads.
  • Attending customer site to complete project handover meetings to the external sales team.
  • Working to KPI’s relating to lead conversion, low spending account growth and development of lapsed accounts.
  • Introducing customers to a local distributor for any low spending projects.


It is essential candidates possess past sales experience in the Connector, Interconnect, Cable Assembly or Wiring Harness industry (manufacturer or distributor) and have the technical / sales ability to hold top level discussions with customers.

You must be well structured and calculated in your sales approach and possess the communication skills to develop lasting relationships with customers.

Although a technical education within Electrical or Electronic Engineering would be beneficial it is not essential.
