About The Role

This position will require the successful candidate to provide excellent customer service to a European customer base of Universities and Research facilities.

Working as part of a team of 2 engineers, alongside the back-office support team, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting on 2-3 new installations per annum.
  • Conducting user training on the customer site or at my clients’ training centre.
  • Providing system fault finding and repair on around 100 systems across Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Poland etc.).
  • Remote support.
  • Supporting across both hardware and software.
  • Calibrating, servicing, and maintaining a range of high-value complex equipment.
  • Developing a high level of technical expertise on my client’s range of equipment.
  • Submitting accurate and timely service reports.

About You

The successful candidate must possess business-level German and English language skills, along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Service Engineer working on machinery/equipment and be comfortable understanding wiring diagrams.

Candidates with a strong electrical and control system background who excel in troubleshooting would do well in this post.

Candidates must have an excellent work ethic and be willing to travel across the assigned territory. (50% travel required)

A technical education in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science or a related discipline would be highly beneficial.
