About The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will report to the Directors and be responsible for:

  • Manage clients throughout the UK, connecting through Teams or in-person.
  • Devise and implement a strategic growth plan to drive consistent sales from both existing (20%) and new (80%) end-user clients.
  • Work in tandem with the technical, marketing, and sales teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Create detailed quotes and specs, collaborating with manufacturing to meet customer system design needs.
  • Ensure clear communication between customers, project engineers, and design teams.
  • Guarantee smooth project handovers and outstanding aftersales service.
  • Efficiently manage client demands and B2B inquiries while maintaining clear communication channels.
  • Keep meticulous customer records using our mobile CRM system.
  • Collaborate with clients on payment terms, managing negotiations effectively.

About You

You should have at least 2 years of B2B consultative sales experience. While experience in the automation industry is a plus, we also value transferable skills from related solution sales roles.

An engineering HND / HNC is ideal, but extensive experience in solution sales and a relevant network can also be a strong foundation. A Full UK Driving License is essential. Additionally, we’re looking for:

  • Genuine interest in the automation industry.
  • A strong attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A technically minded individual with the ability to understand applications and suitable solutions.
  • A fantastic personality with the ability to build meaningful business relationships.
  • Ability to understand and retain information relating to the technical nature of the products.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated individual with a proven track record in a competitive sales environment.
