As a Technical Sales Manager, you will work closely with the management team and play a key part in their ambitious growth plans.

Following your comprehensive in-house training you will be responsible for:

  • Forging meaningful relationships with a diverse range of clients across the UK.
  • Maintaining and enhancing customer relations.
  • Operating in an 80% new business and 20% account management role.
  • Taking part in industry events to generate new business opportunities.
  • Connecting through virtual platforms like Teams and in person meetings.
  • Engaging in 4-8 product demonstrations per week, showcasing their cutting-edge technology.
  • Focusing on end-user clients with markets such as Automotive, Aerospace and General Manufacturing you’ll develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Following up on inbound leads while proactively generating your own.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Collaborating with the technical and marketing teams to ensure sales strategies are aligned with the overall company goals.
  • Continually develop your expertise in their products and the broader metrology field.

You will bring 2+ years of experience in technical sales within the metrology, measurement equipment, or related software sectors. A deep understanding of metrology and related technologies is crucial (Your background might include working within CMM, XYZ Scanners, articulated arms, portable measurement, or metrology software sales).

You must be able to showcase your ability to thrive in a competitive sales environment, with a consultative approach that balances technical understanding with persuasive communication skills.

Regardless of your educational background, a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn is essential. You should have the aptitude for quickly grasping the technical aspects of products and the ability to apply this knowledge creatively to solve client challenges.

We’re looking for someone with a vibrant personality, capable of building and sustaining meaningful business relationships. You should be approachable, personable, and able to connect with a range of stakeholders, from engineering managers to project directors.

The ideal candidate is hungry for success and ambitious in their career goals.

A full UK driver’s license along with the willingness to travel nationally is essential.
