This well-established bioimaging business is searching for a Microscopy technical imaging specialist / applications scientist to further support UK customers.

About The Role

Based at my client’s Cambridge lab facility, this position will require the successful candidate to provide first-class customer service and application support to a client base across the UK.

Other duties will include: –

  • Working closely with sales to provide both pre/post sales and application support to customers, assessing their needs to allow optimal configuration of the microscopy.
  • Predominantly supporting biotech and pharmaceutical companies with their imaging needs including image analysis.
  • Meeting customers at the lab to showcase my client’s capabilities, including delivering microscopy demonstrations and presentations.
  • Creating custom analysis scripts to analyse client microscopy data.
  • Manage the microscopy facility and equipment, conducting performance checks to ensure the equipment is in working order.
  • Oversee the installation of new imaging equipment within the facility.

About You

The successful candidate will have a passion for microscope technology and be keen to learn how certain systems are suited to particular applications. 

You MUST be educated to MSc / PhD level within Bioscience, Biophysics, Biochemistry or affiliated and possess hands-on experience using high-resolution microscopes such as advanced confocal, Laser Scanning, Spinning Disk, Multiphoton or Super Resolution microscopes to name a few.

Hands-on experience with live cell imaging of biological applications would be highly advantageous. Candidates must have an excellent work ethic and the ability to operate autonomously.
