As a pioneer in their industry, they now wish to recruit a Technical Development Manager with a focus on delivering nutritional benefits to the end consumer.
POSITION
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering nutritional benefits on human health by developing enriched (Vitamin D, Omega 3 etc) ruminant food products.
- Generating retail pull through by improving the nutrient content of produce (milk and meat).
- Conducting clinical studies on human health performance.
- Managing relationships with University’s and contract lab testing companies.
- Developing and managing ruminant trials.
- Interpreting and reporting on trial results.
- Translating research papers and scientific publications to practical applications.
- Pursuing research links with other countries.
- Securing and managing national and European research funding.
- Developing products in partnership with processor customers.
- Communicating concepts and products to customers and retailers.
PERSON
The successful candidate MUST have a degree within Biochemical, Animal Science, Nutrition & Health or Life Science with a focus on biological systems.
Other key requirements include:-
- The initiative and understanding to present ideas and suggestions including explanations of how the business can achieve it.
- Self-driven attitude.
- Understanding of the difference between ruminant and none ruminant animals.
- Past commercial research experience.
- Good understanding of biochemistry.
My client would be open to consider a fresh graduate if they hold a PhD in a related field.
