About The Role
As the German Sales Manager, you will report to the Sales Director and be responsible for:
- Identifying and attending related industry exhibitions and events.
- Completing training with their UK Engineering and Sales team.
- Working from a home office and travelling across your territory (Germany).
- Developing lasting relationships with Directors, Fleet Managers, Transport Managers, Product Managers and Product Development Directors.
- Selling my client’s complete solutions across all businesses that use or manufacture Trucks, Trailers, Vans, Lorries or affiliated within sectors such as Haulage, Freight, Construction, Local Authorities, Utilities and Councils.
- Operating in a 95% hunting role, targeting both OEM commercial vehicle manufacturers and users with a fleet size of 10+ vehicles.
- Selling to OEM Motor Manufacturers (10%), Fleet Operators (30%), Vehicle Converters / Body Builders (30%) and Distributors (30%).
- Understanding customers’ needs and advising them on a suitable solution.
- Managing a small number of current accounts (distributors and vehicle converters/body builders).
- Delivering turnover growth targets.
- Conducting product demonstrations and training where required.
About You
Candidates MUST be fluent German speakers with a good command of English.
The ideal candidate will have proven success selling capital equipment or products/solutions (eg, Telematics, Fleet Tracking, Tyres etc.) to the commercial vehicle market and be comfortable securing new business sales from vehicle manufacturers or businesses operating commercial fleet this could be within areas such as Haulage, Freight, Utilities or affiliated.
It is essential you can demonstrate longevity in employment and possess proven success securing new business sales.
You will have strong communication skills with the motivation, drive and desire to be successful within a fast-paced sales environment.
