About The Role
After an initial training period, you will typically spend 3-4 days visiting customers and depending on your location the other 1-2 days will be from the office or home. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing new business across the whole of the UK.
- Selling a range of UPS products & solutions to end users in the Aerospace, Data Hosting, Communication, Banking & Manufacturing sectors.
- Developing relationships with Engineers, Contractors, Designers, Engineering Managers & Buyers.
- Managing and developing a multimillion-pound turnover.
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date CRM.
- Reporting key information to senior management.
About You
The successful candidate will possess proven experience (minimum 2+ years) selling Electrical Capital Equipment.
It would be advantageous if you have experience specifically selling UPS products however my client is open to other sales experience that derives from Electrical Power, Heavy Power Electrical Equipment, Electrical Engineering, Switch Gear, Transformers, Motors, or other similar Electrical Markets.
An Engineering degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in electronic/electrical engineering is also required.
Due to the existing and potential customer base, to be ideally located you will live in and around London and the Home Counties. However, my client is willing to consider potential candidates from the Midlands and below, as long as you are willing to travel.
My client is looking for a well-rounded and consultative sales professional who is keen to develop their UPS knowledge in a rapidly growing market.
A full UK driving license is essential. Other key skills include:
- Competent use of Microsoft Office, Outlook & CRM.
- Eagerness to learn new technology.
- Well-presented and personable character.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to build trusting relationships with Engineers, Managers & Buyers.
