Ready for a new challenge? This specialist high-precision component manufacturer is searching for a well-rounded internal sales professional who has a future ambition to migrate to an external sales role.

My client is a global leader in the design, development and production of mechatronic components for a wide range of applications.

They offer an extensive range of bespoke solutions to meet the high demands of the industry.  They pride themselves on being the premier brand within their market and have built a strong reputation for their innovative and dynamic approach. 

They now seek a driven sales professional with a desire to develop, progress, and learn.

  • £33K – £40K Basic (salary dependent on experience)
  • 20% Realistic Bonus

As an Business Development / Internal Sales Engineer, you will operate from my client’s offices and be responsible for:

  • Focussing 60% of your time hunting for new opportunities and 40% handling incoming inquiries.
  • Generating and following up on leads (Typically targeting clients with an account value of up to £50K pa).
  • Making contact with both UK and European lapsed accounts from the CRM.
  • Proactively engaging with customers to understand their application needs.
  • Working toward your sales objective.
  • Supporting the business to identify new target customers.
  • Managing the sales pipeline.
  • Selling to a variety of industries across both distributors and small OEMs.
  • Increasing current customer spending.
  • Attending exhibitions and events when needed.
  • Working with development and the applications engineering teams to gain technical support and input.

Its essential candidates have gained a minimum of 2 years of technical sales experience and are comfortable hunting for new opportunities whilst also managing both distribution and small OEM accounts.

My client is willing to consider candidates with experience selling technical solutions be it mechanical, electrical or electronic, this could include but is not limited to industrial automation, vision inspection, conveyors, connectors, robotics, test & measurement, and instrumentation to name a few.

Although a technical education is beneficial, it’s not essential, more important is the drive, resilience, and determination to be successful.
