Are you a highly motivated Internal Sales Engineer with a passion for Pumps? You could already have Pump sales experience, or you could be from another technical engineering sales role keen to learn the Pump industry.

This specialist distributor is searching for a talented individual who is keen to learn and progress a career in an interesting and rewarding sector.

About The Role

As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will work from my client’s office in Cambridgeshire.

After the completion of your induction, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling of customer technical and commercial enquires.
  • Managing RFQ’s (request for quotation) via phone & email.
  • Reviewing customer requirements and advising on potential solutions.
  • Preparing quotations and proposals.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Securing and completing orders.
  • Developing relationships with existing company clients.
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date CRM.

About You

You must be comfortable specifying engineering products / equipment to customers, whilst also being able to technically explain why the product / equipment fits their requirements.

It would be advantageous if you have a background in flow control or fluid handling products such as Pumps, Valves, Seals, Couplings, Actuators, or Instrumentation however my client is also willing to provide product training to anybody from an alternative engineering background.

To fit the required profile, you will have great communication skills and the ability to read, retain and relay technical information. Due to the nature of the role, it also essential you have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.

Other key skills include:

  • Competent use of Microsoft Office, Outlook & CRM.
  • Experienced working as part of a team & on own initiative.
  • The ability to build & maintain trusting relationships.
