Internal Sales Engineer – Scientific / Electronics / Engineering (CC587)

Location: Berkshire / Hampshire


£28K – £35K Basic + Bonus + Private Medical Insurance + Mileage Allowance + 20 Days Holiday + Public Holidays + Benefits


My client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke electronic solutions for the use in demanding environments. They are renowned for their durability and production of high quality products as well as their continued research into new technology.


Their equipment can be found in a broad spectrum of industries including Aerospace, Defence, Marine, Scientific, Academia and even with globally recognised F1 Teams.


You will operate in a 90% office based role, with 10% of your time being field based with clients.


You will be responsible for managing customers within the UK, selling my clients solutions to a diverse range of industries including Research Establishments and Universities, through to Automotive manufacturers.


Other duties will include:-

  • Responding to customer enquiries and RFQ’s
  • Preparing and submitting quotations and proposals.
  • Creating new business (30%) and managing existing customers (70%)
  • Providing technical support.
  • Developing long term relationships with Directors and Project Managers through to Scientists and Physicists.
  • Visiting clients to discuss their needs when required.


The ideal candidate will be based in the Berkshire, Hampshire or surrounding area and be educated to a minimum HNC Level within a Science, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Electronics discipline.


Some work experience within sales is essential; however this does not need to be within my clients industry.


Candidates must possess a good telephone manner and be confident liaising at all levels.


All candidates require a full UK driving license.
